Hello! My father was Lloyd Irvin Gillin, born Irvin Lloyd Gilinsky. His father was Casper Earl Gilinsky and his mother was Ida Graceman Gilinsky. Casper Earl was the son of Isaac and Yetta Gilinsky. Isaac G was the son of Moses Lazar and Fay Pearl Horwich Gilinsky (wife #1).
I am interested in learning more about my family and learning if I have any relatives, too.
My grandmother's (Ida Graceman Gilinsky) father was Rabbi Leib Graceman from Russia.
Interesting stuff. I've just learned all of this recently and it's tying up some loose ends that have always puzzled me. email

Hi my soon to be Grandfather in law is a Glinski, Mr Bazyla Glinski, he is from a town called Vinsk. Apparently he left Poland as a child as the war broke out, he was put on a boat with 200 other children and sent to Outshourn, South Africa. Another Family in Poland I'm look for is for Zofia Adamska. One of the 200 children on the boat to South Africa.

I am still in touch with the family of Ziske Shapiro (z"l) in Pabrade, Lithuania: son Moshe, Moshe's wife Vera (recovering from breast cancer), daughter Julia, and wonderfully bright and talented Polinochka. They are now being helped by the Survivor Mitzvah Project (survivormitzvah.org), where I volunteer Russian and Yiddish translating. Zane Buzby just returned from Lithuania, where she met the surviving Shapiro's in person. They are wonderful people! email

My grandfather is Moshe Gilinsky, Born in Vilna around 1920. My uncle Avraham David Gilinsky and my mother Haya-Lea Gilinsky are called after my grandfather's parents.My grandfather had 7 sisters and brothers. as far as I know he is the only one survived the war. He was a partisan during the war, married Hana Alperovitch and came to Israel in 1949 email
