Team Supported Hereford  United

How did you become a Hereford supporter? I  can assure you, if you were born in Hereford and were bought up on that Ronnie  Radford goal you would start supporting the mighty whites.

How long have  you been a supporter?
16 years.

Best Footballing Moment? The best  for the club to be that magic day on 5 February 1972 against  Newcastle. As for my best day - there has been many but two are:-  Being 1-0 up at Leicester last season in the FA Cup 3rd round with only 23  minutes to go. Being 1-0 down at home to Walsall in the FA Cup in 1991  with only two minutes remaining and winning 2-1, and then to go on and meet  Manchester United at Edgar Street in the 4th round - where we lost 1-0 to a last  minute goal to Clayton Blackmore.

Worst Footballing Moment? THE  Brighton game that knocked us out of the football league. Adrian Foster (Judas)  went through on goal, one on one, in the last minute and missed - the whistle  then blew and we were out of the League. the worst moment by  far.

Funniest Footballing Experience? Turning up to most Conference  grounds and seeing more Hereford fans there than home supporters. (Not at Kingfield - SD)

Best  current player at your club? Gavin Williams, Tony James and Ian Wright.  Remember these names for the future - especially Gav.

Best "past" player  at your club? Where do you start. John Charles, Darren Peacock, Kevin Sheedy,  Andy Fealey, Steve White, Dudley Tyler.

Best all time (all football  levels) player? Pele.

What do you think of your team this year  ? We have the strongest team since we have been in the Conference - without  doubt. A battle between us and Rushden this season I'm sure. I think a campaign  should start to get out Brian Talbot out of Rushden - he's had all the money and  achieved absolutely nothing. G. Turner (HUFC Manager) has not paid a fee for a  player for 4 years now and look where they are - same old league.

What  do you think of your teams manager ? He has the backing of most HUFC  fans. He has a thankless task. The fans expect success ( and rightly so for a  club our size) but we are £1-2 million in debt and cant pay decent wages or buy  players. In my opinion GT has done brilliant - he's owner, manager and chairman - without him who knows where we would be.

Favourite non league ground  you've been to ? Most grounds are poor without any atmosphere. Rushden is a  great ground to go to - but their fans make no noise - no history or tradition I  suppose. Doncaster is a good ground to go to for atmosphere - ex league club you  see.

Worst non league ground you've been to and why ? Welling, Hayes,  Woking (apart from one end) - most are rubbish.

Best goal seen scored  ? Jimmy Harvey scored some great free-kicks for HUFC which were always a  joy to watch. The best goals scored are always the goals scored at the most  important moments - last minute winners in a cup. this season Chris Lane scored  a superb 35 yarder at Kettering.

Additional Info. Champions!!!! (hmmmmmm. - SD)
