Ok... so here is what i consider to be 'Howard Mallet Soul'. I have attempted  to pick the obvious ones from my collection. Once again many of these tracks  come from tapes recorded from the 'original viynl', on some you can hear the  needle going down and the crackle as it plays!
 So this is Pt1 in no particular order of merit  just all hugely popular, and superb soul.

Album Howard Mallet Soul Pt2
Here is Pt2 and we start off with an absolute classic! This was the first  record i ever bought ever! I was 15 yrs old and i bought it from one  of my mates at school for a £1, i've still got it today. When i got  home from school i rushed upstairs to my room and stuck it on the record deck,  it was 1972 and i was in heaven.

13. Play The Natural Four - I thought you were mine The Natural Four - I thought you were mine I had a copy of this for quite some time, i cannot remember how i felt when i sold it (i must have buried it deep:). ABC

16. Play Tobi Legend - time will pass you by Tobi Legend - time will pass you by Certainly one of those iconic records that well represent's Northern Soul. Bell
17. Play Tony Clark - Landslide Tony Clark - Landslide This proves there are not enough superlatives to Justify a list of Northern Soul records. Chess
18. Play Tony Middleton - Paris blues Tony Middleton - Paris blues Cracking tune just drives along, and has such a wonderful lead vocal. Eric
