What to Do in the IOW

For us the Isle of Wight is all about dinosaurs, beach and cliff top walks or leaping from the cliffs with a paraglider - possibly not everyone’s cup of tea, but the island offers something for almost everyone.

For the children there are numerous beaches, theme parks, wildlife parks and other tourist activities to visit.

For the adults and families there is Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, Brading Roman Villa, numerous craft centres, Alum Bay theme park and chair lift, fishing trips, Island pleasure flights, guided walks..... plus much much more.

The Island has many nice pubs serving local beer and good reasonably priced food.  Many of these also have live entertainment. The local ‘Countryman’ is within easy walking distance and provides excellent quality food. Also recommended are the Crown at Shorwell, the White Mouse Inn at Chale and the Sun Inn at Hulvestone.

For more information on the island, places to visit and the latest events we recommend visiting the Official website of Isle of Wight Tourism:-

For local news, traffic, events and high tide times you may wish to tune into IOW radio on 102 / 107Mhz FM.
