We encourage and support guests who travel to the island without cars by providing free foot passenger ferry tickets as part of their holiday booking.

There are bus services to Shorwell from Ryde, Newport and Yarmouth.

Bag-Tag is a service where visitors travelling by cycle or on foot can have their luggage transferred to their destination. Contact them on 01983 861559 or 07967 339780 or visit them here.

The island is popular with cyclists and has dedicated cycleways - many following the course of disused railway lines, signed routes, miles of bridleways and some quiet country lanes as an alternative to busy main roads, please visit Cyclewight for more information. You are free to store cycles in the property’s garage.

Maps and walking/cycling guides are available in the cottage.
