Food and candy already paid for by the Government of Iraq
Though direct sexual abuse is obviously a traumatic and criminal act, it is certainly no more traumatic and no less criminal than deliberately luring children away from their mothers and fathers, in order to provide propaganda images for the American public of “grateful” Iraqi children accepting “gifts” from hordes of heavily-armed invading mercenaries.
This nightmare scenario outside the City of Basra turns to pure obscenity when you realize that the stage was set months earlier by the American Administration, which used its muscle to illegally “suspend” the United Nations Iraq “Oil for Food and Medicine” program. As will be explained later, the “grateful” Iraqi children already owned the food “gifts” handed over by the invading mercenaries, which had been purchased in advance by the Government of Iraq, but deliberately blocked by America at their points of entry into Iraq.
While this forward intervention proves a deliberate premeditated [and predictable] intent on the part of the US Administration to “starve out” the Iraqi population in the manner of a Middle Age siege, it also bears the unmistakable signature of the babbling shrinks and psychs at the Department of Psychological Warfare.
Among other things, this department studies and develops specialist cross-cultural strategies designed to psychologically undermine any targeted ethnic or religious group, at home or abroad. Where Arab, and in particular Arab-Muslim groups are concerned, one of the easiest psychological buttons to press is that which diminishes the head of the family, i.e. the father, in the eyes of his wife and children.
The American 82nd Airborne recently provided several crude examples of this button being pressed while on duty in Afghanistan. In their politically driven witch-hunt for “terrorists”, these men entered small houses in all of the villages they encountered, then “patted down” the father for weapons at gunpoint. After that, while still holding the father at gunpoint, the soldiers patted down his wife and children. Because the father was physically unable to defend his family against this unthinkable assault by the infidels, he was shamed for eternity, or at least until he can track down the offending American soldiers and kill them personally. His family honor depends on it.
Back then my military colleagues and I were official guests in an Arab country I am still not allowed to name, engaged in a small counter-terrorist war that my government will still swear formally never happened. In basic terms, some very nasty [real] terrorist insurgents had butchered the inhabitants of several villages, and we were helping local authorities to track them down.
Weighed down with multiple overload fuel tanks, we were operating our large armed helicopter hundreds of miles away from the nearest civilization, in areas so remote and isolated that many of the local residents had literally never seen a white man before. In the mysterious way of desert folk who have no radios, all of the villagers already knew we were coming, and our personal safety was assured so long as we checked in with the local village headman immediately after arrival.
This worked OK until we arrived at one location where the village was isolated several hundred feet up a very steep inaccessible Wadi. We landed near the flat bottom of the Wadi in about 105F of heat, and I encouraged my vigorous colleagues to make the long hot climb to the village, while I stayed behind to “guard the chopper”.
It was very quiet, and after about ten minutes I swung around to see two young Arab shepherds sitting on a large rock about 100 feet away from the chopper. Both were about seven years of age and had appeared out of nowhere in complete silence. This unnerving ability to suddenly appear somewhere where before there was nothing, is a strange characteristic of remote Arab tribes, that the US Marines are probably discovering right now, somewhere to the north of Al Nasiriyah on the left bank of the River Euphrates in Iraq.
The two young boys stared silently at me, and I casually waved a greeting. There was no response at all. Two pairs of large eyes followed my movements, but nothing else. As the temperature climbed remorselessly through the 120F upper limit on the cockpit thermometer, I remembered that one of the refrigerated boxes in the chopper contained a large quantity of ice cream. Just right! I grabbed a paper cup and scoop, then remembered the shepherd boys sitting on their lonely rock.
Where were my manners? I grabbed an extra pair of paper cups with wooden spoons for my guests, filled the cups to the brim with ice cream and then slowly advanced about thirty feet towards the boys. Placing the cups on a rock, I backed away and made the universal hand signs meaning “for you”. Both very hesitantly advanced on the gifts, gasped at the cold feel of the paper cups, and then retreated to their rocky perch with the icy booty. They were obviously enjoying the treat, and I was glad we’d put the ice cream on board.
Not for long! Five minutes later a very tall tribesman with a beard appeared behind the boys on their rock, sniffed the paper cups, then threw them on the ground and stared at me. In one smooth movement, the boys’ father jumped off the rock and whipped out a seriously dangerous curved dagger with an 18” blade, before advancing towards me slowly, screaming at the top of his voice. Believe me, this man was not armed with a puny box cutter.
There was nothing in the military rulebook to cover a contingency like this, but I was determined not to wind up like a gutted fish in the middle of nowhere. Almost by reflex I pulled my 9-mm semi-auto out of its shoulder holster, cocked it, and shouted something stupid like “halt” in English. Dad didn’t understand the word, but he knew what a gun was, and stopped dead in his tracks, still shouting and gesticulating wildly. It was a classic Mexican standoff, and we stayed that way until the others came back down the Wadi with the village headman.
It was only then the headman told me I had shamed the father by giving his sons a luxury item that he, the father, would never be able to give them in his lifetime. Once we fully understood the problem, the boys’ father became the only person in his village [perhaps the only person in his entire mountain range] to be solemnly presented with the gift of four very large cases of Muslim-approved [non-pork] “K” rations, complete with tin openers, plates, cutlery, the lot. His honor was restored and we parted on good terms.
Anyone who has ever bought an ice cream at Atlantic City or Bondi Beach will probably find this true story incredible, and that is exactly why I went to the trouble of including it. The cultural [rather than religious] differences between, say, Americans and Iraqis can be critical, and never more so than at a time of direct conflict. The American Department of Psychological Warfare knows this very well, which brings us back to the main story of the blocked Iraqi food supplies.
That the Iraqis have already paid for the food supplies is beyond doubt. During the last six years of the “Oil for Food and Medicine” program, Iraq has exported a documented US$63 billion barrels worth of crude oil, which naturally means that Iraq has already paid for US$63 billion dollars worth of food and medicine. No one is seriously doubting the figures here. This is the actual financial situation today.
During a “shock and awe” media conference in Baghdad three days ago, Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassim Ramadan presented western media with a detailed breakdown of this UN program, complete with full copies of the past and current paid contracts, for all individual journalists present. The figures are indeed shocking and awesome

Have you seen these figures before? No? This is hardly surprising, because so far as I am aware, no “fully accredited” American television network or major newspaper has bothered to provide you with the sickening details. But remember carefully here that this witting and premeditated starvation of the Iraqi people [attempted genocide], is being coldly orchestrated by your respective political leaders “in your name”, regardless of whether that means Bush in America, Blair in England or Howard in Australia.
Store this information carefully and be prepared to use it, because dark storm clouds are building swiftly on the horizon. In an address to the Russian Federation Council on March 26 regarding the current American-led attack on Iraq, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov stated:
“The attempt to impose this or that political structure upon a sovereign state is not only illegal, but is doomed to failure .... The danger of a military solution of the Iraq problem lies also in the fact, that one illegal act inevitably leads to a further one.
“How can one otherwise understand, for example, the demand by the USA, that other countries should break diplomatic relations with Iraq, expel Iraqi diplomats, and freeze the bank accounts of Iraqi representatives? This concerns not a regime in Baghdad, but a sovereign nation, a member of the United Nations.”
Russian determination to stop the illegal attack on Iraq today, is every bit as vigorous as the determination of America to stop the old Soviet Union’s illegal attack on Afghanistan. Just as America supplied Afghanistan with specially configured “Stinger” shoulder launched missiles designed to destroy Russia’s deadly “Hind” helicopter gun ships, so Russia has [allegedly] supplied Iraq with advanced shoulder launched missiles intended to destroy America’s deadly M1 Abrams battle tank.
Just as the American CIA and VOA once broadcast intelligence details of Russian movements inside Afghanistan to the Mujahadeen via short wave radio they could listen to on a $10 transistor radio, so today the Russian GRU [Military Intelligence] is breaking the encryption algorithms on American military communications equipment in Iraq, and relaying the decoded messages to the Iraqis via $10 short wave radios.
Perhaps because we have entered the technocratic age, the Russians are also “leaking” abbreviated versions of this intelligence onto the Internet, available to anyone capable of reading Arabic, Russian or English. I have monitored this output for five days now, and the details provided are at least 24 hours ahead of anything the Americans finally admit to, and far more detailed. There is a link at the bottom of this page to the most popular [and reliable] of the Russian Intelligence “front” web sites.
It is not my intent [nor yours I hope], to stand idly by while a bunch of certifiably insane politicians in America, Britain and Australia, attempt to starve innocent Iraqi families to death in their own sovereign country, in what is merely a blatant attempt to save their own political and financial skins. Nor should you or I allow the babbling shrinks and psychs to deliberately drive cultural wedges between West and East, based on ethnicity, religion, or on anything else, for in that direction lies the ultimate police state.
Whatever your skill, now is the time to use it. If you can write, then do so. If you are good at street demonstrations, get out there as quickly as you can. If you fancy your chances as a truck driver, then catch an airplane to Amman, Jordan, and volunteer to drive one of the loaded [Iraqi owned] food trucks blocked at the Iraqi border by the Americans. In truth there are plenty of Iraqis in Jordan more than willing to drive the trucks to Baghdad, but they are being physically prevented from doing so. Your presence at the border could help to break this genocidal road block.
No matter what any of us may choose to do, I personally feel there is very little time left. The illegal attack on Afghanistan, and the eventual retreat of the Red Army from that country, led directly to the collapse of the Soviet Union as we once knew it. Indeed, the Russian Ambassador made reference to that war here on Australian breakfast television today, pointedly stating that although they [the Soviets] managed to “decapitate the regime in Kabul on day one”, it then took them six very long and hard years to back out of the place.
It will be obvious to everyone that America failed miserably in its illegal attempt to “decapitate the regime in Baghdad on day one”, as originally fraudulently claimed by George W. Bush, and will not be doing so any time soon, certainly not with the sovereign Iraqi government going about its business in purpose-built nuclear proof bunkers deeper than the London Underground.
Perhaps it will be simple fate that determines what happens next in America, or at the very latest when America finally loses this illegal war. There is probably much to be said for bulldozing Washington, DC, into the Potomac River, leaving behind only a loose federation of states, similar to the Russian Federation today.
