Old Parkonians 0 - 1 South Bank (Southern Amateur League)

A very disappointing result at home to 3rd division strugglers South Bank effectively ends Parks promotion hopes for this year. It's theoretically still possible, but then so is Kev sharing a KFC . . . . I'll leave it with you.

With a few changes from the side that had scored 21 and conceded none in the last 4 games, Parks went into the game with high hopes of taking 3 points. After a few half chances for both sides, a speculative through ball dropped short of Turner, and the forward rounded the Parks keeper to finish into an empty net.

The next 80 minutes were pretty one sided, wave after wave of Parks attacks gave the home side plenty of chances, but a combination of bad luck and bad finishing meant Parks went home empty handed. Chadwick, Parmenter, Mason, Rowson and Kenny all went close, but not close enough.

As Harry Redknapp says "there's always next year ..."

Man of the Match: Mason
