Derwent Week
20 - 26 July 2002
It was the first time that we had gone as a group to Derwent it was fantastic
and God moved in us all. We were camping and thankfully the weather was quite
kind for most of the week.
These are some of the things that we got up to.
Bible studies every day
In the Cliff Hall Tent will be led by Mike Seaton with an easy interactive
style, accessible to all.
Celebrate in the Cliff Hall Tent – A
high energy event which was at the leading edge of worship. The teaching here
was both biblical and dealt with contemporary issues. This was where we got the
the best teaching and I think that most blessing
L.N.E. – The
late night worship experience. With praise, Testimony and straight from the
shoulder talk.

Setting up and Blowing up the air beds was such fun for us leaders as you can
see. It takes three to blow mine up.
.
It's raining!
Up in the Hills still flying the flag. Shame the World Cup was over.
Mark taking a chance to sit in a proper chair and just chill.
We had every afternoon off so we went out almost every day for day trips. one
of the high lights of the week was a trip to the Heights of Abraham in
Matlock Bath It was funniest and the most scary for some. We had to go in
a cable car to get there, some people tried to rock the car to frighten their
youth leaders. I wonder who they were !!
See how small the cars where and how high we where. Paul was trying to open the
door here mad or what???
It got even higher, but the view was nice.
We got to the top safely and a chance for a arty shot at the top. This was after
a long walk through a mine. From left to right Paul, James, Mark, Adrian
and me Steve. Still a nice view.
Here we have our own version of the Cliff World Cup, We enter the football tournament
and preformed heroically. (Well we can dream!)
A late night at 02.00 and Still going strong.
