Majoring in Magyar

This January (2001) found us in Hungary to sing an 'ident' package for Budapest radio. If you're ever over there be sure to tune in to Száz kettő egy!

The studio, SoundMaster Studios Ltd. (see below for link), was of a high spec: Otari 32T digital multi-track machine, Neve desk and ProTools hard-disk editing. After a few initial teething problems, a combination of hardware headaches and culture-shock, we got the job done.

Rachel Ashley and I were joined by István and Myrtil, two of the capital's foremost singers, who fell in with our brash western ways without a hitch.

Budapest is a charming city with spectacular architecture, excellent food and some of the best beer in Europe. We had a great time.
