Mike 'Cincinatti' Senger(Ohio USA)
Being from the USA a lot of you are probably wondering why I support DERBY.
Well I used to be a huge baseball fan here in the States. But after all the strikes in American sports I have become very non supportive of American sports except at grass- root level where they play for the love of the game.
Well I digress, when my daughters were old enough to start playing sports they wanted to play football (soccer). I became the coach of the team and slowly fell in love with the game. While coaching higher levels up to U19 boys I began reading more about the game and learning more .I was really taken aback by the passion given to the game in the UK and this is what lead me to follow the game in the UK.
While on AOL one day in the football chatroom I started talking to a supporter from DERBY and learned more about the Derby area. It sounds so much of a town where life is good. I started following the team and trading things back and forth with my new found friend from Derby. I'm lucky that she sends me every issue of the Ram.
I've been following the team since '95 through good and bad .You have to admit it has been mostly good since '95 with the exception of this season.
Last summer was my first time seeing the club live. (On their pre season American tour)
It was a dream come true. My next dream is to see Derby at PPS and feel those goose bumps all over my body. Nothing makes the body react like that except for one thing (ooo eeer too much information Mike)
Well there is my input on the subject matter.
