PART 5
2003
-05 home shirt appears to be of little change to the previous season and has
already attracted criticism from fans on various bulletin boards. The piping is
changed and the Pedigree logo streamlined. There is also a Ram logo on the lower
rear (make of that what you will but not very inspiring). UPDATE - the main
criticism regardin these shirts is the actual material . The Puma shirts are
still much lamented.
2003-04
Keepers shirt- some have already asked if this was created by Jimi Hendrix's
supplier. But it is certainly a departure from the norm and doubt it will be a
popular acquisition by fans unless they are going to a seventies school
re-union.
Away 2003-04 This kit made its debut in the Ajax friendly match but sadly
fans who thought they were going to be able to buy it that day were
disappointed. It looks neat and attractive and is certainly better than last
years away two tone blue. With the uninspiring home shirt I expect this will be
a seller when it finally hits the shops. (no release date as yet) UPDATE -
no figures confirmed but this shirt is far more popular than the home .
New for 2005
(with
thanks to the DET) Marcus Tudgay pictured with Tommy Smith shows Derby's '3rd
kit'
against Brighton (5-2-2005). This was actually a training / warm up kit that was hastily taken to Brightons club shop and had numbers printed on it because the ref said both home and away Rams kits clashed with Brightons home - he allegedly refused to allow Brighton to play in there away strip either so hence this 'new' kit.
But lets face it who would love to see an all black away kit ? Of course we would - second only to yellow!

& Lee Camp Model the new shirt
Okay first of all thanks to BBC Radio Derby for allowing the use of photos, DCFC said they would send photos but they haven't arrived yet.
The biggest problem for a lot of people it seems is the black stripe running down the side and to accomodate this the ram logo has moved to the middle. The second problem is that the new 'Derbyshire' logo from the sponsors overlaps the stripe!
The shorts have only one white stripe down the side - which is in line with the shirt stripe the ram and joma logos are present as well.
Socks are white with a black rim at the top sadly instead of DCFC we have Joma - not impressed with that.
So early indications are that this is a love it or hate it Kit
These comments are entirely my own opinion
The kit has now been with us for a year and is apparently to be replaced for season 2006-07
This kit is not generally well liked by the fans and has been christened the 'hanging noose' kit due to the upside down noose on the
shirt.
2005-06 AWAY KIT
Here it is photos courtesy of A.C.EYRE
This kit appears to be more favored by fans and has received some good comments . This kit will it seems be with us for 2006-07. Sadly still Joma which has received criticism from fans . But this is a nice kit with clean lines contracsting the blue with yellow which then matches the yellow shorts .
There is also a limited edition Black and white kit that is a reverse of the home kit (illustrated in the graphic history) but i dont have any photos of this. However, as with the current home kit it is not favored by fans and was not what they wanted when we asked for a black kit.
2005-06 Keepers kit Lee Camp models the kit - we seem to have an obsession with black and pink over the last couple of seasons
perhaps a change of ownership in the club will bring better kit designs?

Home
06-07 as worn by David Jones. Similar to the previous year's shirt the 'hanging
noose is removed and replaced by black trim on both arms. Not a lot too inspire
us to buy i'm afraid.
