Jon Gregory- Lincoln

My Great - Grandad, Grandad, Dad, other Great Grandad and Grandad were all Derby fans, i still have a season ticket with my Gran, anyway they were all born in Derby or Ripley close by. My Dad was born in Ripley and was a natural Ram , he had a season ticket all through childhood and up until about 40. I was born in 1987 and was named after the legend and current Manager John Gregory , born in Keighley, Yorks my name is Jon Gregory , with me mam wanting to keep it original by taking out the 'h'.

I think my Dad was desperate to keep it in the family , I went to my first match against Grimsby in '93 , i was absolutely hooked from there onwards. I had a season ticket for 93 to 97 , my Dad moved to Sri Lanka in '97 and we found found it harder to get to games.

But from 93 , i had top scorers charts plastered on my walls, pictures of the players.. and that goal , that header Stallard scored against Wolves is still worth getting the Subbuteo out for.

My most memorable moments were the 1-1 draw with Manure, but more importantly that free kick from Laursen and of course the day we got promoted.
