DAVE fARMER (Delft-Holland)

I recall the first game ,where Steve Cherry made a stunning save tipping the ball on to first one post then the second.

Memories.....

He moved on to my parents street in Long Eaton after that ,did we snowball his garage at the first available opportunity.....Oh yes ! (I was only 12 honest, I've grown up since then)

That was one of my first games being only a whippersnapper then ,my first was v Charlton on 2 Jan '84. My cousin saved me from the yearly visits around the family and gave me that first sweet taste of the Popside, ever since then doing the family Christmas 'rounds' revolved around who Derby were playing.

The player I remember along with Bobby Davison was Floyd Street he was f**kin huge, he did a slide tackle in one of the games where I stood in the Normo End and all I saw was two tree trunks heading straight for my head !

Had to have a season off while training in Harrogate but got my first season Ticket in 1990 shared with my Brother. I would ring him on the Thursday night to upset him with the news that I was coming home, couldn't afford the flight so caught the bus home from Verden in Germany at 1400 on Friday arriving in N*tt*ngh*m at 1200 on Saturday (very very drunk!) in time to get the train to Derby, Saw the match went on the p*ss , kissed Mum on the cheek on Sunday morning and got the bus back at 1600 on Sunday.

'Cloggy- lost in that warm fuzzy glow that's cuts away cold nights losing 250 miles away from home and only lets you remember winning 5-0 v Sunderland and other such pluses - Ram'
