28/01/12 WUFC 2 - 3 Ilkeston Rutland
A beautiful winters day set the scene for two teams to battle it out. Utd had home advantage and took an early lead through Dom as the visitors were caught cold. The lead lasted until just before half time when an error gifted Ilkeston a chance to level the score which was duly taken. Ilkeston were being frustrated by some great defending and Utd could see the visitors were rattled. It was Dom again who broke away to put Utd in front for the second time, only to see the lead pegged back with 10 minutes to go. It was a difficult pill to swallow when Ilkeston grabbed the winner with almost the last kick of the game, but that's football for you! MOM went to Dodge.
WUFC have a new sponsor for the season 2011/2012. Shredall have agreed a financial package with WUFC that will make a huge difference to the financial stability at the club. This will be in addition to the long standing support we have from Ken at The Nags Head in Woodborough.
Race Night Sat 4th February at the Nags Head in Woodborough, 8:30pm. Come along and have a great night at this fundraiser for Woodborough Utd FC. There will be a series of races to have a bet on and look out behind the bar for the race cards where you can sponsor a race and own a horse.
