Congratulations to FC05 MAA Champ's 2008/09
FC05 sneaked a win 5-4 at TVFC to take the league title with OE's taking runners up spot on goal difference after beating Wollaton 3-1 in their final game. Woodborough finished three points behind in third place. Some twists and turns at the end of the season kept everyone guessing and while "the favourites" for the title kept messing up, FC05 continued on their way to the top with a very strong finish to the season. Utd have had a great season, winning the MAA Cup and putting in some great performances in the league just missing out on the title, but it is FC05 who will be celebrating as League Champions this season! Well done.
WUFC Presentation Night 2008/09
Another fantastic social event not to be missed and which was well attended. Thanks to Bove for his organisation and end of season rhyme, and to Ken who provided us with a lovely meal and fine wine. There was also a serious point to the evening which was to award the players who had done that little bit extra during the season. The Players Player went to Sam Lamb while Ricki and Sean chose Kingy as the Managers choice. Both players deserved the awards for some tremendous performances throughout the season. Congratulatons!
