The Watchers

Rupert Giles:
Surrogate father, mentor, scholar, friend and champion
in his own right. He's the paragon of Watchers. So, of
course, the Council fires him, thus alienating their best
man and also the Slayer herself. The re-formed Council
couldn't do better then have him write a new Slayer's
handbook to replace their hidebound rules. Giles proved
he was the greatest Watcher, being the only one to
survive the First's onslaught on the Council.

she was five. He trained her into the discipline and tradition
of the Slayer. Allowing her no personal life, all her time
was focused on training and obediance.
Roger Wyndham-Price:
Wesley's father whose cyborg clone gives us a glimpse of a learned
Watcher with a big ego. He always had big ambition for his son which
Wesley could never live up to.
Quentin Travers:
Head of the Watchers Council, he was once a fine Watcher
but the desire for power reduced him to a doublespeak
bureaucrat.
Collins, Weatherby and Smith:

The former "super villain" has a lot to learn but, with Giles and Buffy
to train him,  he should turn out fine.He even learned to stand up for
