The Watchers
| Rupert Giles: Surrogate father, mentor, scholar, friend and champion in his own right. He's the paragon of Watchers. So, of course, the Council fires him, thus alienating their best man and also the Slayer herself. The re-formed Council couldn't do better then have him write a new Slayer's handbook to replace their hidebound rules. Giles proved he was the greatest Watcher, being the only one to survive the First's onslaught on the Council. |
