Brief description: Originaly called Bramingham Shott, when the estate was owned by Richard How. The current house was the result of of exstensive building by Frank Chapman-Scargill in 1879. It was shortly afterwards that the estate was renamed Wardown.

The estate and buildings were bought on behalf of the local councl by Asher Hucklesby and Edwin Oakley in 1904.

The house is now the home of the Wardown Park Museum.
