Brief description: The Mausoleum was commissioned by the 10th Duke of Hamilton, also known as Il Magnifico. With it's Cupola, bronze doors, which incidentally modeled on the Baptistery in Florence, an Octagonal chapel guarded by stone lions and an Egyptian sarcophagus. The 10th Duke certainly earned the title Il Magnifico.
