Brief description: Part of the
Provinciehuis or Goverment House taken from the
Stenenwal.
It is the home of the government of the province of
Limburg.
Designed by the Architects, Snelder B.V. Started in 1983
and completed in 1985. The architects have paid homage, to
the unique skyline of this ancient city. The choice of
brick as a building material is also typical of the
architecture of Maastricht and Limburg.
It has it's place in history. For it was here that the
European Summit of 1991 was held.
