Brief description: Bothwell Castle with the foundation
first being laid down by Walter de Moravia (Moray) in 1242,
but never fully completed. It played a major part in the
Scotland's bid for independence, changing hands many times
during the 13th and 14th centuries. This photograph was
taken looking at Curtain Wall through the winter
brush.
The castle is now under the management of
Historic Scotland.
