Work has already begun on the MCF fixtures for the coming season. It
would be appreciated if clubs would let me know immediately of any
changes to their league entry requirements that have come about since
the AGM on July 9th.

Please also note that entries have been invited for a new competition
for teams of low-graded or novice players, to be known as the Hartley
league. Clubs are being consulted as to the best format for this league
(for instance, one option suggested is two games per evening, instead of
the traditional one, and teams of five players to facilitate transport).
Harry Lamb has been collating information received from clubs about this
and a decision will be made soon about the viability of this project and
the exact format to be tried. Any club with a firm interest in entering
a team or teams in this new league who has not already contacted Harry
about it should let both Harry and me know asap.
