Thanks to everyone who sent tributes and condolences over the death of my father last year. Here is the piece which I had on the front page until recently. I will create a bigger section for this soon.

Dennis Johnson
17th May 1931 - 31st August 2002

My father, Dennis Johnson, passed away on 31st August after a rapid deterioration in the illness from which he has been suffering since early this year.

He was a wonderful father and will be greatly missed by all of us.

He loved being in the mountains and spent many holidays both in North Wales and the Swiss Alps. He was on holiday in North Wales when he was taken ill earlier this year.

Here is a photograph of my parents taken in June, when he was well enough to be out of hospital. We had visited South Stack on Anglesey for the day.

My father died peacefully in his sleep at Stafford District General Hospital early on 31st August. His ashes will be scattered over the Welsh mountains which he loved so much.
