Custom Tracks
Although SnapTrack comes with a large
selection of track definitions in its track box, there may be times when you
want to define your own sections. These may be for your own hand built
tracks or for older sections that have not been included; for example the old
Goodwood chicane. Version 1.00.008 of SnapTrack allows you to define your
own sections using just a simple text editor such as Notepad.
The definitions must be stored in a file called
custom_box.txt and saved in the folder where SnapTrack is
installed. The format of the file is described in the help files and to
help you get started, any of the existing tracks in the track box can be
exported to a text file. You can then edit these to create your own
definitions.
As an example, here is a simple file containing the old
Goodwood chicane and pitstop sections. Right click on the Sample Custom Track Box link
below to save the file to disk.
