Videos get the same message across every time
and, when it comes to training, this is very important!
The Learning Process Has Four Fundamental Steps
Training Videos Provide A Valuable Learning Tool
Training videos wont produce instant experts. Staff will need to practice their new found skills. Training videos can provide the necessary knowledge for staff to become experts more quickly. Training videos also provide a useful source of revision! The use of training videos is almost limitless. If you need someone to learn, you can probably do it with a video. Whether it is to show methods of working, explain a process or safety training. Videos can be used to support product manuals and the narration can always be added in different languages to help get the message across in today's global market. Training videos are not suitable for every training situation. Steve Feeney Productions want you to be happy with our work and we'll tell you if we consider that your needs are better served by an alternative method. Training Videos Are Cost EffectiveTraining can often cost hundreds of pounds per participant. The initial outlay for a training video may cost more but it it will pay for itself very quickly in the right circumstances. Things To ConsiderDo make the video cover one subject - if the video is too long and over complicated the learner may not absorb the message. Make the subject interesting. Use some creativity to make the lesson more memorable. Do include a summary at the end - generally three bullet points is a good guide. If the end product is to include a lot of information, consider taking advantage of the DVD menu and split the material (or lessons) into easily manageable modules. Consider including self assessment material so that the learner can see for themselves how much they have learnt. This could be a set of questions printed in the sleeve notes or, if you really want to impress, go for an interactive learning experience. Quality and Delivery FormatDepending on their length and the quality required videos can be delivered as a DVD, Video CD, and Internet ready files or VHS. Steve Feeney Productions work with high specification digital equipment which is ideal for distribution on DVD. If our clients want "full broadcast" standard we can hire the necessary equipment which will affect the price. Check out what's involved then contact Steve Feeney to discuss your requirements. |
