Roy Gargan  was born on the Isle of Man in 1958 and is the great-great-grandson of Paul Sharpe (b.1807). He currently lives and works in Cheshire

Stephen Tonge was born in 1972 in Bolton, Lancashire, and lives there still with his wife and young family.  He works in Warrington as a computer programmer, and was the author of this site.

He is descended from Clyde Kelvin Sharpe, who settled in Bolton having moved from Essex during World War II.   Stephen has been researching family history for several years, and made his first break through with the Sharpe's when the 1881 census index was released in 1995.
