Hello!  As President of Eastwood Rotary Club, it's my privilege to welcome you to our web-site and hope that you find it interesting. I'm particularly proud to be the Eastwood Club President as Rotary moves into a new Century of Service. We are proud of our Club's history of providing service to the local, national and international community while also having great fun and fellowship along the way.

I'd like to think that it may even inspire you to consider joining Rotary. Our intention on this site is to ensure that you gain an insight into Rotary in general and, in particular, to the wealth of activity and endeavour constantly on-going at Eastwood. Indeed our various Club projects have raised over £400,000 for worthy causes over the years, and we also have a proud history of social events including an Annual Burns Night, regular theatre visits, trips abroad, International Theme Nights, and an Annual "Magazine" Fun and Games Night at Christmas.

Formed in 1970, Eastwood Rotary Club is an active and growing club with around 34 members, including 6 lady members. The Club meets each Thursday evening at 6.15 for 6.30pm at the Busby Hotel, Field Road, Busby nr. Clarkston, Glasgow. For directions, click here or call the hotel on 0141 644 2661. Should you wish to visit the Club, you can be assured of a warm welcome

Barbara Grant, Club President 2009/10

The Club is always keen to welcome potential new members. Typically, membership is drawn from residents of the Parishes of Eaglesham, Mearns, Cathcart and Eastwood. Our members tend to be residing or working in East Kilbride, Busby, Eaglesham, Newton Mearns, Giffnock and Clarkston. However, it is important to note that there are no longer any geographical barriers to membership and anyone is free to join the Rotary Club of his or her choice (by invitation) irrespective of where that person lives or works.
