2012 Primary School Quiz - dropping only 2 points, Eaglesham Primary School won handsomely! 2012 Primary School Quiz - Crookfur Primary School came second, only narrowly losing to Eaglesham PS. 2012 Primary School Quiz - in a tense tiebreak, Our Lady of the Missions PS won out for 3rd place.
 
2012 Burns Supper - Our guests from home and abroad were warmly welcomed by Pipe Sergeant Graham Moore. 2012 Burns Supper - President Richard Naudot of the Rotary Club of Saint-Quentin Pastels provided the Selkirk Grace. 2012 Burns Supper - The ladies were presented with a red rose while our own Jack Patrick sang 'My Love is Like a Red Red Rose'
French Twinning Visit - Eastwood JVP John Waddell (right) presents gifts to President Richard (centre) of the Rotary Club of Saint-Quentin Pastels at the club's dinner. SVP Christian Crauser (left) of SQ-Pastels looks on. French Visit - Our visit with our French hosts included a day in Champagne country where we toured two champagne houses and tasted their wares.
French Visit- The final evening was a relaxing social hosted by the French club where, inevitably, more champagne was enjoyed
Rotaract - Jill Morgan, the District Convenor for Rotaract updated the club on the growth of Rotaract for18-30 yr olds in the District. Our own Maereen Ramsay is working on an East Renfrewshire Rotaract Club with Barrhead Rotary. RYLA - Our two attendees at this year's Rotary Youth Leadership Award, Skye Woolcott & Chris Ryan, spoke to the club about the experience. President Rob presented their certficates.
Hand It Over! - Immediate Past President Iain Barr (left) receives his PP medal from new President Rob Willkinson. The club thanked Iain for all of his hard work in 2010/11.
Bagpack - Some of the team who helped raise £800 at Morrisons Supermarket in Giffnock Young Musicians - Fiona Joice, Williamwood High School, won this year's vocal round of Rotary's Young Musician of the Year 2011 in the Scottish Districts Final. She goes forward to the National final.
Young Musicians - Diana Sheach, Eastwood High School won the instrumental round with her French Horn playing and goes on to the District Final. VP Rob Wilkinson presented the certificates.
Burns Supper - George Waddell addressed the haggis in fine style at this year's Eastwood Rotary Club Burns Supper as Junior VP Maereen Ramsay looks on. Burns Supper - Club Vice President Rob Wilkinson was delighted to welcome President Veronique and her husband Romain from our twin club of Saint Quentin Pastels from France..
Burns Supper - Fiona Joice, our Young Musician winner, entertained the club with her excellent vocal talents.
40th Anniversary Tree - Provost Mackie, ably assisted by Eastwood's Ronnie Munn plant a tree in Eastwood Park. PP Barbara Grant came up with the idea to celebrate our 40th year. New Member - Club President Iain Barr inducts new member Jack Patrick into the club. Jack, a very well known local singer, was inducted under the classification 'Musical Entertainer'.
RYLA students - Christiana Skea and Sam Toufique are presented with their RYLA Certificates by VP Rob Wilkinson.
 
Boys Golf 2010 - President Barbara presents the Winners Quaich for the 2010 competition to Williamwood High School - Ross Livingston, Graham Young and Christie Gray. Support for East Renfrewshire Good Causes - Club Charities Convener presents Duncan Dick of ERGC with a cheque for £2,000 following the Eastwood Rotary Charity Golf AM AM Una McCulloch - Rob Wilkinson presents Una McCulloch with a folder of photographs and anecdotes of husband George who sadly passed away earlier this year
 
New Member - President Barbara welcomes new member Richard Campbell to Eastwood Rotary Club. Richard is an RE teacher. he and fellow joiner Murray attended Belmont School together. Another New Member - And President Barbara also welcomed new member Murray Milligan to the club. Murray is a product marketing manager with Micron Technology. Young Photographers  -  first place went to  Connor O’Donnell from St Luke’s, while second and third places were taken by Lucy Morrant and Bryony Pearson from Eastwood High School.
Eaglesham Primary School - 2010 Winners of our Primary School Quiz.St Cadocs were 2nd and Giffnock 3rd - all had tied on 62/64 and a play off was needed to seperate the teams. Fellowship - the Eastwood Bowlers who lost out in the Fellowship Trophy game by a mere 7 points! So many 'if onlys'!! Such as 'If only we'd been any good, we might have won!" Twinning Certificate -  a framed certificate celebrating the twinning of Eastwood and Saint-Quentin Pastels brought back from the recent French trip was presented to Pres Barbara by Steve Malloy.
 
St Cadocs Football Team - proudly wear their new strips courtesy of Eastwood Rotary Club. Good luck boys! Ronnie Hits 40 years - Founder member Ronnie Munn celebrated 40 years with Eastwood Rotary. Saint-Quentin Twinning Visit -  Marie-Laurence Maitre welcomes the visiting Eastwood Rotarians on behalf of President Frédéric. Many of the club had just returned from a trip to Morocco, delayed by the 'ash cloud'.

Young Musician Competition - The winners of our  Young Musicians Competition were Fiona Joyce (vocal) and Jennifer Ross (instrumental), both of Williamwood High School.
Eastwood Runners Up - our curlers who lost 8-6 to League A winners, East KIlbride, in the Garside Trophy Final. From l-r, skip Alastair Kerr, Steve Malloy, Ronnie Munn & Mike Henry. Eastwood earned promotion to League A. Tabletop Curling Competition - Eastwood's Rob Wilkinson had never 'curled' before and impressed with his 'canny' attitude but surprised how small the rink is in real life. East Kilbride's George McGraw, who organised the event, is stunned by the smooth delivery! Witches & Ghoulies - someone seems to be under Witchy Mac's spell as the competition starts to hot up at our Halloween Night.. anyone else sense some hubble, bubble, toil & trouble?
Paul Harris Fellows - George McCulloch (l) and Stephen Malloy (r) with District Governor Andy Slater after the club presented them both with Paul Harris Fellowships at the club's Annual Magazine Night. Magazine Night Fundraising - Una McCulloch poised for action in the ''Get the £ coin nearest the bottle of Vodka and win it" competition - this one event raised over £70 for local charities at our annual club charity event. DG Andy walked away with the prize! Magazine Night Fundraising - Alastair Denholm's steady hands see him consruct a formidable tower in the Jenga competition. Alas, no one could better Heather Malloy's 24" high construction.
French Visitors - Christian Crauser of the Rotary Club of Saint-Quentin Pastels exchanges banners with President Barbara Grant, watched by Marie-Laurence Maitre who delivered an excellent presentation (in faultless English) about the Club. French Visitors - Alain, Christian, Michel, Marie-Laurence and Agnes with our own Evelyn on the famous Brig o' Doon at Alloway during the French club's visit to Scotland. French Visitors - Christian cuts a dashing figure in full Scottish garb with a pint of excellent Scottish ale as Friday night's social evening kicked into gear.
