Marianne Robson
Fine quality silk
intricately painted to produce a range of hand painted scarves, ties, framed silk
paintings, cards, and jewellery. An ideal gift with a touch of elegance. Many
different procedures goes into Marianne's craft. The silk is painted with a
brush, then steamed on the hob for an hour to fix the colour. The material
is then washed and ironed before ending up in a card, picture frame etc.
The scarves and ties can
be handwashed (with care) after wear

Curlew Jewellery
The semi precious stones used
in the items of jewellery which I sell come from around the world. They
are cut, polished and mounted in order to fashion the rings, neclaces bangles
bracelets, pendants and earings that I make . The mounts which I use
are silver and gold plate, Sterling silver or 9ct Gold. Goods can be
purchased as seen on my stall at craft events and local village shows or by
specialist order direct from my workroom. I will endeavour to make any
special request to suit individual need e.g. Something like earings or pendant
to match an outfit for a special occasion. A deposit is required for
orders. I will be happy to discuss any aspect of my craft at anytime and welcome
all enquiries

Oakwood Aromatics
We make all of our
soaps ourselves, here in the picturesque Wensleydale village of West Tanfield,
because we want to know exactly what goes into our products. Beginning
with high-quality food-grade olive, coconut and palm oils, we use traditional
techniques (well, okay, we cheat a little and use an electric stick blender to
speed things up) to convert these oils into a lovely and mild, skin-softening
soap with rich, creamy lather that contains all the natural glycerin that's so
good for your skin and yet is usually lost in most commercially-made soaps. We
then add pure essential oils for a rich and luxurious scent and sometimes ground
coffee or spices, such as paprika or cinnamon, to add colour or act as a gentle
exfoliant. We never use any artificial scents or colours. Our
soaps are then left to air-cure for at least 4 weeks, ensuring that each one is
mild and gentle, before being hand cut, wrapped, labelled and sold.
