Based in Northern Ireland, MacJac was founded in 1997 by two computer whiz kids, Tom McFarland and Steve Jackson.
They saw that there was a gap in the market for a competitively priced web design service that would encourage small and medium sized companies to enter the digital age of communication. To that end they have developed a team of home based designers to keep overheads low, thereby passing on savings to the clients.
Added to this, a policy of no jargon (unless you want it) means that clients, particularly those new to the Internet, are less afraid to show their lack of knowledge and to ask the team for advice - whether for recommendations of Service Providers, arranging domain names or for even more basic advice on how to use the Internet.
