Activities
The main activity of the MIDLANDS group is our regular informal Saturday meeting held 6 times a year held at varying locations around what we have very loosely called The Midlands. Recent meetings have been held in Banbury, Birmingham, Burton, Chesterfield, Derby, Loughborough and Newark. Full details can be found the Diary section.
Meetings generally commence from around 11.30am dependant upon train connections or the venue. Attendance at meetings is not a formal requirement of membership and we realise that with members coming from such a wide area that attendance for the full meeting may not be possible (better to enjoy most of the day than none!). Meetings generally run into the mid/late afternoon and are followed by a social activity e.g. pub crawl, for those so inclined, as recommended by the Chairperson.
Everyone is welcome at our meetings including non members. Why not come along to a meeting or more before formally joining us if you wish? Many members and non members bring their partners, either to enjoy the location itself, and/ or to take part in the meeting.
Other Activities, have included Brewery Visits, Guest Speakers, Social Days and Hop Walks. Details can be found under Diary Past Events.
Everyone is invited to put forward ideas and organise events whenever they wish.
