Racing Club Fantana Auction Exclusive

Racing Club Fantana players feel blessed, and thankful to be in the position they are today. With the world at their feet and the rest of the Corinthian League on their knees, manager Bradley Micallef felt it was time to give something back to the local community that has treated them so well since Fantana's conception.

"We're all grateful for where are we now, and we have the fans of the team to thank for helping us to the top" Micallef explained "We realise we are blessed individuals and we wanted to somehow convey our gratitude to the public. We felt by making one persons dreams come true, by spending a day out with a few of the lads, then we're making this world a better place".

Micallef spoke with the directors of the club, and once the ball was rolling, it could not be stopped. Two weeks after Micallefs idea, a deal had been struck with a local care home for the under privileged and mentally challenged for one patient to have his dreams come true.

The lucky winner of this competition was a young boy called Dave from Redbridge. "His eyes lit up like fireworks when he heard the news" said one nurse.

Dave's favourite players are Darren "The Party Boy" Salmon and unsurprisingly the club captain Chris Maskell. The two players decided to take him to Faces nightclub in Gants Hill, Essex.

I managed to tag along with the players, and get a couple of photos that i'm sure Dave will treasure.

Chris Maskell was the perfect role model for the club all night and as soon as they arrived in the club, posed for a quick snap. As you can see, Dave was a bit nervous and seemed slightly disturbed by the flashing camera.

Later on in the evening La Maske, introduced Dave to some of his buddies, and they seemed to have a whale of a time together. As you can see, Dave is having the time of his life!!

As the evening progressed Dave seemed to really loosen up and the last time he was seen by anyone was when he met up with former RCF Star and Kurd Cup Winner, Jon Howard. Jon's departure from RCF was shrouded in mystery, and judging from the photo below, it appears the rumours were true and he decided to go and live in the 1980's.

Oh....and what about Darren Salmon? Well, he lived up to his Party Boy name all night and unlike the Captain, soon forgot about Dave.

As you can see from these exclusive pictures, Darren Spent the evening moving from one group of girls to the next. What a Party Boy!!
