Field pledges future to rcf
Simon Field has categorically denied suggestions he is set for a big
money move across town to Greek League minnows Spartans FC. The RCF
training session was rife of stories claiming Field was joining
Spartans because he couldn’t cut the mustard.
Manager Bradley Micallef has held crisis talks with the player this
morning regarding his future and had this to say, “Having had a long
and lengthy discussion with Simon, he has informed me he has
absolutely no intention of joining Spartans”
Simon Field emerged from the meeting looking sheepish and in a
written statement said “Despite recent speculation in the
media, I can categorically deny any talk of me joining Spartans FC.
I have merely been training with them to improve my fitness levels. I love
Racing Club Fantana and would
never dream of leaving. I am staying and I promise the fans that I will fight tooth and nail
to hammer down a place in the first eleven – which of course won’t
be easy judging by the quality I’ve seen so far. I can only
apologise to my manager, the rest of the players, and of course, the
fans”.

Racing club star departing?
Only two weeks in, and Racing Clubs pre-season may have been thrown
into chaos. It's being reported today that a senior member of the
team was spotted training with a rival Greek team on Tuesday night.
This mystery player was also absent from RCF's Wednesday night
session. We cannot reveal the name of the player, but raging manager
Bradley Micallef said "The hairy Jewish prick better be there
Sunday". More on this story as it develops.

CORINTHIAN LEAGUE AGM
Tonight saw the 20th Annual General Meeting of the Corinthian
League, at the plush Ilford Catholic Guildhall. With most club
representatives in attendance, you could feel the simmering tension
between the teams. The evening went off without a hitch, and the
main news from the evening was that Racing Club Fantana have been
placed straight into Division 2, due to fears among some that
Division 3 would be a one horse race.
