Racing Club Fantana Home Ground Announced

Today Racing Club Fantana officially found a home. After lengthy
discussions with several interested parties, RCF signed a deal with
Dagenham & Barking Borough representatives.

After all negotiations had been concluded and the ink on the contract
was dry, Racing Club representatives who had been locked in talks for
the past 7 hours stood on the steps of Dagenham Civic Centre and read
the following statement:

"After gruelling talks, and lengthy negotiations Racing Club Fantana has
signed a year long contract with the Borough of Barking and Dagenham to
play our football at the lovely Central Park, here in Dagenham.

Despite interest from other parties we believe that the location, and
the atmosphere that this ground produces is special and one that will
raise the game of our players ten fold.

"The Field Of Dreams" as it is dubbed by locals, will now be our home
for the next 12 months with an option for a further 12 months should we
choose. This is just a new chapter of the RCF legacy, and one that the club,
as well as the fans can be greatly excited about.

After thrashing out the details of the contract, we have decided to play
our first home game on 11th September 2005. We chose this date
specifically as we feel it is an important day in history, and we
believe what we are doing on September 11th this year is equally as big
as what happened on September 11th in New York just a few short years
ago. We are of the opinion that in ten years time when people ask "Where
were you on September 11th?" and people reply "I was running to Central
Park like my life depended on it" they will be talking about Central
Park in Dagenham, and not New York."
