Stephen Saunders also offers a video service to complement your survey report. Subject to the current homeowners agreement he will take a video record of the property. This is usually a brief walk-around the property inside and out showing the front and back gardens, the outlook and a room by room tour of the interior. It also includes any garages, outbuildings and the roof space and lasts perhaps 10 minutes.

This can assist you in understanding his reports and perhaps help better identify any defects mentioned. It also serves to remind you of the some of the features you may not fully recollect. It can help you plan out your furniture and serve as a record of how the house used to be before you took over. You can show the film to friends and family to let them see what you are buying - particularly useful if they are at a distance and without troubling the owners or agents too often.
