Polar

Polar was rescued from a house with 38 other cats in it, they were all suffering from malnutriton. No proper food had ever been given to them and they were all living off scraps of food left around the house by the owner.

All of the cats were rescued and we lost one or two, but Polar was one of the lucky ones. He was put into the care of C.H.A.R. and was actually with Hazel for 9 months before he came to Julie.

Hazel had decided that she was not making any progress with him at all, he was completely terrified and she couldnt get anywhere near close to him, for this reason Hazel felt that it would have been near impossible to rehome him and so he came to Julie.

He was Julie's first cat from C.H.A.R. For the first month he just hid away and when we tried to stroke him or even get close, he literally trembled. It was my Daughter that he eventually took to first, he wouldnt let anyone else near, only her, then over the following weeks he came to trust us all, he`s gone from a cat that you couldnt even touch to one that now shoves you out the way if your on his spot on the sofa!
