At a committee meeting of the Abercorn Lodge held instead of a Lodge of Instruction meeting at 8pm on 12 February 2008, the Secretary reported that attendances at LOI were invariably poor and not infrequently too few members attended to enable a meeting to be held. A proposal was tabled, and unanimously passed, that from next year regular meetings should be abandoned and two meetings held before each Abercorn meeting.
The Lodge of Instruction no longer meets regularly.
