Don't Say That Word | home
My Longing Heart
I have seen you and what you don’t show others,
I laughed and cried and knew you were my true lover.
We have shared everything the world has to share,
and I write this letter to you in unsettling despair.
I gave you my heart when others thought I was not wise,
I still love you even when you sought for my demise.
How could I love someone who bares me such pain,
but my heart aches for your touch in every vein.
Your smile and body has always got to be by my side,
and behind close doors in our passion will hide.
You have given me the world even with your life’s mess,
but now I have come to love you more then life I must confess.
You struck me down when I proved you were wrong,
but I feel little comfort from your absence and not feeling strong.
I was the rock and saw I could live in you,
so tell me that your words are true.
My love for you is and endless faith and peace,
but please don’t let me be deceased.
Oh tell me so I can finally look the other way,
for this I ask you and God and I will let you stay.
I will make my choice by my longing heart,
but please don’t let your violence ripe our lives apart.
