YCC Young Corby Casuals
On the YCC Decks This Week: The members have finally agreed to an assortment of 'The Roots' albums. But really it's MADVILLAIN - MADVILLAINY
01/11 KERBING IT: What's ''The Kerb'' all about? : Well...... ''The Kerb'' is a modern phenomena that is sending shockwaves through the world of philosophy. Starting one night when Dan was walking home pissed at 5.30 in the morning, it is a place were the weeks most volatile topics are discussed. Everything from which girl's got the fittest arse to who made an arse of themselves playing footie at 5-a-side, is viciously argued. Oh yeah and of course there's some fierce politics going on too.
It is a very select club and there are now 8 lucky members who have sat on ''The Kerb''. There are some classic stories that have already occured at this place of mystery so stay tuned!!!!
5-a-Side: This week's 5-a-side winner's: Geordie Chris, Kettle, Matty, Mono and Alan (Easy, Easy!)
GOING UP ? What can I say???? ''I wonder what the odds are for promotion?'' were the words I wrote in the last entry (seems years ago..). To be honest I thought it was a load of pie in the sky bullsh*t, but so far I fuckin' wish I did put that bet on. The lads are playing a different type of football. Not the hoof the ball, sometimes effective, route 1 type of football of a few years ago, we're playing enjoyable attacking football. But more importantly we're getting the results....
As usual the expanded BOTS really are the 12th man and with the hard work put in by us, whether it be doing up the bar, helping with the website or sorting out new merchandise, we are acting like a REAL supporters club.
Having said all that stuff about the total football we're playing, the derby game was, as usual, nothing like that. A hard earned victory like the one against Enfield Town (''Hallows, Hallows'') was made even better by the amazing atmosphere that the regulars are used to.
''Where were you when JFK died?''..nah forget that it will know be... ''Were you at that Corby game???''
But... ATTENDANCE=405....FUCKIN' HELL!!!!!!! THATS WHAT WE WANT. Now get up there every week. The BOTS will always be there though NO MATTER WHAT !
By the way, after starting off as a ''splinter group'' of the BOTS with a membership of about 4, the YCC are now a fully fledged military wing of the BOTS with alliances to the PAOC, with some new entrants already making their bones as made men in the BOTS!
See you at Ro'well for part 2..
03/08 Well, it's been a while everyone, but with the new season only around the corner, I thought that it was about time I put my arse in gear and update the page for the new format of the site. Plenty to talk about..........
It's old news for the BOTS but it is official that we will be playing at Rockingham Road next season. And once you get past the immediate anger that shoots up your body once you get wind of it, you realise that we, the BOTS, can make it work in our favour. There will be one or two who we know that the move will be, principally, one step too far for them, (who we have total respect for, by sticking to their guns) but for the rest of us bampots it will be an opportunity for us to once and for all show to them arrogant pricks who come on the website giving in shitloads, that we who may be smaller in numbers, have one of the loudest most passionate fans you can come across. Just imagine it though.....
It will be like something out of the twilight zone. A section of about 20 fans who look like they've just been let out for the day (us), the average non-singing Steelman sitting down enjoying the game, a rival section of away fans thinking they're professional cockneys but are actually from Sittingbourne, with the Kettering lot represented by local chavs or some guy who wonders why the hell they bothered to come up in the first place......
However, this year it's different for the Steelmen. Oh no we're not going to be like the England football team whom the press always says ''showed tremendous courage'', but really just bottle it in the last minute.... Keep it under your hat, but I am quietly confident that we can do some damage this season, and not to ourselves for a change. I wonder what the odds are for promotion?
In that weird football mentality, we'll probably get more supporters at Kettering than at home but don't worry, only a few games and we'll be back. However as usual, the council have dropped us in the shitter, with redecoration of the bar not going ahead. It's a real kick in the knackers this, as it was something we desperately f*cking need and the supporters worked hard to try and get. Something NEEDS to be done though directors!!!!
In a bit, PAL.
(Remember the embargo on the KTFC bar!!!!!)
