The annual Whitwell Steam Fair changed venue in 2008 and is now held in the nearby village of Codicote. The event continues to be held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

There was also a Stanley steam car, three steam lorries and an unusual "home built" machine!

Some exhibits remained on their transport, while others were displayed in action,
and some exhibitors had accomodation wothy of closer inspection.

One very unusual exhibit was a dynamometer, used to test the power output of various tractors.

The fair included a set of traditional steam powered gallopers and an electrifying side show!
