This was the second year of the steam rally at the Royal Gunpowder Mills.
It has the advantage over many rallies of a hard surface roadway around the perimeter of the main field. |

There are many interesting building around the site, in varioous states of disrepair.
Some are set along the abandoned canal way.

In the main exhibition area are railway exhibits from the Woolwich Arsenal system.
Both locomotives spent some time at Bicton Gardens (Devon) and now require a heavy overhaul before they are used again. |

In one of the exhibition halls are two wagons in unrestored condition.
At the oppositve end of the site stands a repainted cordite drying van. |
