Born in 1955 I completed a Higher National diploma in Business
Studies in Scotland and started a business career in 1974.
Having worked in the corporate business world for twenty years I
embarked on a new career in 1990 studying firstly Reflexology at the
Scottish School of reflexology, following this by Aromatherapy and
Swedish massage at Cumbernauld College. I found that I had an
interest in alternative health care and felt strongly that this was
a way forward for people to take a positive role in their health and
wellbeing. Along the way of course the names have changed, we
now use the term Complementary therapies, and people don't
look puzzled when you mention the word Reflexology as they did back
then.
I have also been a tutor working for the
community education in Lanarkshire in Scotland teaching groups
massage and various related health and wellbeing topics. These
were happy days and around this time I had my first son in 1992.
Having moved to England in 2002 I gained a
Diploma in Indian Head Massage at the South Leicestershire College
and I also practice Reiki Healing. I am a member of the
Federation of Holistic Therapists and have been practicing Holistic
Therapies at The Therapy Suite based in the Desborough Surgery for
the past four years.
I am constantly researching and completing
"continued professional development" for the benefit of my clients
and my job satisfaction. At present I am married with two
children.
It is my pleasure and my aim to share my knowledge and
practice my therapies. In 2005 I also started to take clients
in Burton Latimer Medical Centre. |
