cdfrontsmall.gif (3379 bytes)  Don't be put off by the rather bland looking cover. Or the fact that it's a live recording. I don't normally like live recordings myself, all that whooping and whistling normally does me 'ead in. So, when I received the CD from Steve, it was with some trepidation that I slipped it in the tray, and hit the play button.

WOW!  I were worryin' for nowt, it knocked me socks off, and within the first few seconds I was hooked. Yes, the audience is there for all to hear. But you can almost feel Steve tuning them, and playing them like a fine instrument, close your eyes for a moment, and you can almost taste the beer, and smell the fag smoke. This is the nearest you'll ever get to "Brenda's Front Place", without knockin' on the door, an' goin' in. Surely the mark of a true showman!

Steve's put together a fine selection of poems and monologues on this CD, each one a little gem in its own right, including the infamous "You're A Borin' Bugger Brenda". And all delivered in his own very unique style, that's certain to have you laughing from beginning to end.  A timeless humour, that takes you back to the days of the old wireless set, when Granpa'd stand in front of the fireplace, and he'd be asked. "Tell us the one about..."   So, if there's anybody out there who fancies being entertained for 45 minutes, why not give this CD a try?
