Hello, and welcome to Lancashire Born An' Bred the home of the Lancashire Comedy Monologue, written and performed by Oldham's Stan Brown. Do you remember the "old" classics, made popular by the likes of Marriot Edgar and Stanley Holloway? "The Lion And Albert" - "Three ha'pence A Foot" - "The Runcorn Ferry" and "Sam pick up tha musket." Over the years many have tried, (quite successfully) to keep the tradition alive, Mike Harding, - Bernard Wrigley, and Gary Hogg, spring to mind, and although not Lanky, Pam Ayres has also written some very funny verse. So, if you have a sensa yuma, take a trip down Nostalgia Lane, and have a read, (or watch) my little efforts. I hope they tickle your funny bone, and send a ripple through your wobbly bits.
