Range Rover LSE - the late HM The Queen Mother's car
Land Rover introduced the long wheelbase version of the Range Rover in
1992. Eight inches longer than the standard car, the LSE gave the Range
Rover even more limousine-like characteristics. The venerable V8 engine
still powered the car but in a larger 4.2 litre form, at the time making
it the fastest Range Rover to ever have come from Solihull.
The Range Rover has often been a favourite of the Royal family for their
personal transport, as well as being the basis for several official
state review cars, This LSE, NTL 9, was one of the later Classic Range
Rovers to be produced and was the personal car of the late Queen Mother.
It incorporates a number of special features, including the running
boards and is finished in Ardennes green.
