Atypus Affinis
The 'Purse-Web' Spider
The purse-web spider is shown outside it's burrow. It usually lives inside
a tubular purse of densely woven silk. The tube is about 45 centimetres
long and the thickness of a finger.
Part of it sits above the ground from a tree trunk, and is well camouflaged
with debris.
