The Xenesthis immanis
This is known as the Purple Bloom Bird-Eating Spider. The Xenesthis
immanis is found in moist forest areas of Columbia so this means it
requires high humidity. This species is very fast and aggressive and appears
to do well in captivity when given the proper
care. The Xenesthis immanis will readily flick urticating
hairs, but these seem to be less irritating than other large species
of tarantula.
