PET NAME: Sting

REAL NAME Imperial scorpian

OWNER:
Steve

STATS: She is my girl friends pet scorpion we had her given to us by my local dealer
Dover Tropicals
As you can see she is a little fat, over weight so we thought, but to our surprise only a week of having her she had young....... We were very excited but we had very little knowledge of rearing young of a scorpion. After getting lots of help from friends from the NET we got as much info as possible. What we learnt is that the young will stay on the back of the mother until their first molt approx 1 to 2 weeks the mother will do all the work . If one was to fall off the back of the mother you may lose it as the mother may mistake it as food. Try not to disturb them to much as the mother is very protective over her young. and she may kill them herself as a way of protecting them. Scorpions may be pregnant for up to 13 months also able to delay or abort their own young if feeling threatened in their home
