FEET

HAIRY FEET
Many spiders have dense tufts of short hairs called scopulae between the claws. The end of each hair is spilt in to many tiny hairs a bit like a brush . these hairs pull up some of the moisture coating most surfaces, gluing the spider's legs down. Spiders with these feet can climb up smooth surfaces such as glass.

CLAWED FEET
Two toothed claws on the end of a spiders feet enable it to grip surfaces as it walks. web-building spiders have a third middle claw that hooks over the silk lines of the web and holds the silk against barbed hairs. This alowes the spider to grip the smooth ,dry silk of it web without falling or slipping.
