The British Society of Clinical Hypnosis is an organisation that governs the code, practice and ethics of its members. Membership of the society is open to those who have acquired the requisite professional and clinical training in the major aspects of psychology, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. All associates of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis are required to have personal indemnity insurance.

The London College of Clinical Hypnosis was created specifically to provide intending practitioners of hypnosis and hypnotherapy with the disciplines, skills and tuition necessary to practice both soundly and ethically. Founded in 1984, the LCCH has helped gain wide recognition for the value of clinical hypnotherapy over a broad range of medical, psychological and somatic problems. It is the aim of this teaching body to provide comprehensive training facilities for future generations of students and to engage in extensive empirical research in this field.
