Splintered sound studios is the creative hub upon which splintered records now revolves. A studio based around analogue multi-track tape recording, and digital mastering, we blend the warmth of tape with the clarity of high end digital processing and mastering – the best of both worlds, we think.

The studio encourages a live approach to recording, with the philosophy that musicians playing together add a dynamic element otherwise lacking from ‘track-at-a-time’ and ‘cut-and-paste’ recordings. We like to hear performers feeding off each others emotions, adrenalin, energy – whatever – we think it really makes splintered sound recordings come to life.
